Meet the Team

Born in Wakefield, Mark's career began training as a precision engineer; he qualified after three years and then made a career change & started training as a security engineer in York, where he worked for various security companies. Mark's skills, knowledge and drive along with his flare in sales enabled him in September 1984 together with his wife Gill to set up Sandal Security. The company then expanded and developed over the years to achieve recognition & quality certification, making it one of Yorkshires key providers in the fire and security sector.

Gill's career began in York in the banking industry where she worked for over 10 years. She married Mark in early 1984 and just four months later they set up SSS, making the perfect team with Mark's sales and electrical skills along with Gill's banking knowledge. Still working in the bank for another seven years Gill balanced work alongside the company administration duties, thus enabling SSS to develop. The hard work, sacrifices and determination in the early years have helped SSS become what it represents today.
